Our Eastern Sierra adventure has taken a turn off the beaten path and high into the sky! We’ve journeyed into the starkly beautiful White Mountains, setting up camp at Grandview Campground at a dizzying elevation of over 10,000 feet. The air is thin, the stars are brilliant, and the inhabitants are some of the oldest living things on Earth. ✨
The main reason for our visit here was to explore the incredible Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. The photo above gives you a glimpse,
but it's hard to put into words what it feels like to stand next to these gnarled, resilient trees. They are true survivors, thousands of years old, clinging to life in an unforgiving environment. We spent hours walking the trails in absolute awe and even went on a search for the famously ancient tree known as Methuselah—a humbling experience to be in the presence of such history. 🙏The adventure didn't stop with the trees. The surrounding landscape is rugged and beautiful, and we enjoyed hiking several other trails in the area. We also had a great time taking the truck out for some fun 4x4 off-roading on the mountain roads, exploring the vast, open spaces. 🚙
The White Mountains are a truly unforgettable place, a perfect blend of natural history and rugged beauty. We're having a wonderful time capturing it all and can't wait to share it in a future video! 🎥
